Example of Recount Text - Sally

Example of Recount Text Sally Sally was nineteen years old. She had always lived with her parents, but now the time had come for her to go to university in another part of the country to study to be a doctor. Her mother was very sad about this, and she was also afraid, because she loved her daughter very much, and she thought, "My little girl will be alone for the first time in her life. She won't know anybody. There will be nobody to look after her, and perhaps she will have trouble, or she will be very sad because she isn't with us." Sally said goodbye to her father and to her cat, and promised to telephone every week. Then her mother took her to the university by train. When they said goodbye, her mother cried, and on the way back home she cried again. Example of Descriptive Text - The Sea Eagle

The Sea Eagle There is an eagle nesting on the tree top near my grand- parent’s house in Pangandaran. It was a sea eagle. The color of its feathers is light brown. It has a strong and sharp yellowish beak. Its claws are very sharp. It hunts for fish in the sea but sometimes it hunts chickens and small birds. Eagles have many sizes, shapes, and colors, but the sea eagle is easy to recognize because it has a strong a streamlined, sharp beak and a stream-line body. Its forelimbs (or arms) serve as wings. This means that they are of little use for anything except flying. It walks on two legs and has a very flexible neck and strong beak to handle foods, to care for its feathers and for many other jobs that non-flying animals do with paws, claws, or hands on their forelimbs.

Example of Descriptive Text - What is the Significance of Rabbits' Large Ears

Example of Descriptive Text What is the Significance of Rabbits' Large Ears A rabbit is a small furry mammal with a short tail and pointed ears. Rabbits live in burrows in the ground. Each burrow is the home of a single family. The first fossils which can be attributed to this family came from North America but now they are found in every part of the world. Compared to its small body rabbit has large-sized ears. A rabbit is a weak and timid animal and is always surrounded by many enemies. Therefore nature has gifted it with large ears to help it to hear even the fun of drop sound. The large area of the ear catches almost every sound wave produced in the air and transfers them into the inner ear. This makes the rabbit to detect its enemies in time and run to safety zones. You must have noticed that a rabbit washes its ears by repeatedly licking its forepaws and rubbing them over the surface of its ears. It does this in order to keep its ears clean, and also to take into i

Example of Descriptive Text - Whales

Example of Descriptive Text WHALES Whales are mammals, but they live in the sea. They breathe air, but they cannot live on land. Some types of whales are very large indeed. Blue whale for example, can grow more than 30 meter in length. They are the largest animals that have live on earth. At glance whales look rather like fish. However, there are some important differences in their external structures. Whales have tails that are broad, flat and horizontal. These tails function as paddles. They also have single nostrils on top of their large, broad head. A whale's skin is smooth and shiny. Beneath there is a layer of fat or blubber. The fat is up to 30 cm in thickness. This fat keeps heat and fluid so that it can live in cold water.
