Example

Affirmative : They had been living there for two month.
Affirmative : When they washed my car , your father had been playing football.

Negative : They hadn’t been living there for two month.
Negative : When they washed my car , your father hadn’t been playing football.

Interrogative : Had they been living there for two month?
Interrogative : When they washed my car , had your father been playing football?
