Holiday in Borobudur

Last holiday, some friends and I went to Borobudur temple in Magelang, Central Java. It is very famous temple all over the world for its construction and size. So, we all tried to arrive to the top of the temple, that was in the eight level terraces and the distance was 4.8 km from the base. It was not easy and made us tired.

When we got down from the temple, we met a foreigner lady with her two year-old daughter. We guessed she was an American or an Australian. Then, we came to her and said that her daughter is beautiful and very funny. She smiled and said that the word ‘funny’ is not appropriate. It can have a negative meaning. So, you had better say ‘cute’ instead. We all said sorry to her because of our inappropriate word. Fortunately, she said that it was common for young English learner and she also told us that she was a teacher.
